Doctor Kate (surname unknown) is an actual practicing M.D.; when she isn't taking care of her fellow artists, she's being one herself. She's described only as being a (clearly) natural redhead, which suggests that she doesn't shave her pubic hair, or if she does, not completely. Her infirmary is on the second floor, and is considered as/used as one of the House's specialty "function rooms"; her GYN examination chair has restraints integrated into it, and presumably other set pieces (like her examination table) do as well. Not everything on her well-stocked shelves is simply for show; she does everything from routine STD screening to emergency trauma surgery, as she did with Maureen Hooker when the Lady brought her in, gut-stabbed by her ex-pimp.
